Leica announces the launch of the Leitzphone

At this year’s Mobile World Congress Leica launched the Leitzphone.

This premium smartphone, powered by Xiaomi, brings together Leica’s design aesthetic, imaging expertise and photographic philosophy into a powerful new device. The most striking element to the new phone is the mechanical camera ring, which allows the user continuous and customisable control over zoom, exposure value, ISO, shutter speed, focal length and Leica Looks, designed to encourage a deliberate and intuitive approach to phone photography. The Leitzphone is available in store and online in selected markets, including the UK and Europe, for £1,700.00 / €1,999.00.
