Sunspel Celebrates 20 Years of Riviera Polo

Sunspel marks twenty years of their modern Riviera Polo Shirt with a limited-edition version in Sea Island cotton.

The Riviera Polo traces its origins to the 1950s, when Sunspel developed a lightweight mesh fabric for warm days on the French Riviera.

Peter Hill, great-grandson of the founder, engineered a warp-knit cotton mesh that is breathable, soft and comfortable in warm climates. With its dry handle and subtly open structure, this cloth remains central to the Riviera Polo today.

Now made with the worlds finest cotton, the design reflects the brand’s long-standing focus on fabric innovation, presented in Sunspel’s signature navy.

The limited edition Sea Island Cotton Riviera Polo will be available online and in selected stores from 5th May 2026.
